Product information
Everything you need to make the perfect Aperol Spritz.
Aperol embodies the Italian way of life. This unique aperitif, with its balanced bittersweet flavor and unmistakable orange color, was created by brothers Silvio and Luigi Barbieri. In 1919, they introduced it at an international trade fair in Padua, their hometown, where it was a huge success.
The original recipe, which has remained unchanged for over 100 years, is based on infusions of oranges, gentian, rhubarb, and other herbs and spices. The exact recipe, however, remains a closely guarded secret.
Aperol is the indispensable base for the famous Aperol Spritz, which is also the only drink made with Aperol. The Aperol Spritz has enjoyed a huge surge in popularity, especially in recent years, but its history dates back to the 1950s, when it was created in Venice, Italy.
The Aperol Spritz ranks among low-alcohol beverages alongside beer, wine, and prosecco; when prepared correctly, it contains about 9% alcohol.
Perfect preparation is essential for the perfect taste. We always start with a glass full of ice, then add 3 parts sparkling wine, 2 parts Aperol, 1 part soda water, and a slice of orange. You can enjoy an Aperol Spritz on a terrace in the summer or by the ski slopes in the winter.
Cinzano To-Spritz is a dry sparkling wine made for the perfect Aperol Spritz. Its fresh, fruity character pairs perfectly with the subtle bitterness of Aperol, and both drinks also share their origins in the Veneto region.
